Just got an email stating that I handed everything in that was necessary and that my application is being processed. It stated interviews will start in September! This is for the Miami campus.

Just got that email too!

Hey all. So when I was invited for my interview, I received an email 9/8 to reserve a spot for either 9/25, 10/9,or 10/16. I received my provisional acceptance 10/13. Hope this help!

Hey thanks for the info! Quick question, I see you said you got your acceptance letter on 10/13, what day was your actual interview?

My interview was 10/09. So the response for accepted students was really fast. The wait list, from my understanding was much more daunting. I don't want to spread misinformation about that but I can ask and see if anybody from my class who was waitlisted would be willing to respond

Awesome thank you so much for the reply! I just wanted to know how fast the response time was after you had your interview so you answered my question!

Thank you!

So I was contacted and told all my materials were received in the same email for my interview invite.

Best of luck!

Hi,

thanks for your posts! When did you submitted your application? when was it verified? when did you received the email of notification/interview?

Thanks again!

If the campus I apply to is full or only has a few spots left but thinks I am still a good candidate, will they send my application over to other campuses that have spots open? Or are the campuses not related in any way

You should give the admissions advisor a call but I don't believe it works like that. I think the campus you apply to is the only one who will review your application and if it get denied that is the end of that

My application was verified on 06/08 by CASPA then on 06/30 I received an email from Barry stating that they have received all of my information and nothing is missing. The email went on to say that interviews will begin in September 2016 and final decisions will be made by March 2017 (or sooner).

I applied a month ago...verified 7/19 and I never got a review email.  Has everyone else gotten the "application review" email?

I'm in the same boat as you. Never received an email stating they have my application. I will wait till the end of August and then reach out to them.

I started a job as a CNA in a hospital shortly after submitting my CASPA application to schools. However, since it is a current position that I plan on staying in until I start a program, how do I maintain my CASPA application, specifically the "number of weeks" section required for the experience? I do not have an acceptance this cycle as of now, and I want to keep schools I haven't heard back from up to date. I don't know whether to put in 52 weeks in that section since I will be there for approximately one year from my start date even if I get into a program this cycle, or just keep updating it every week that goes by? Right now I have 52 weeks in that section with a disclaimer explaining my start date and plans to keep the position until I start a program in the "description/key responsibilities" section under it. Please share your own experiences, I can't be the only one in this dilemma! Thanks in advance 🙂

I was checking my verified application & I have “Punjabi” listed under “native language”.  On CASPA my response to “first language” was “Punjabi”.   To clarify, I am fluent in English. (I’ve been speaking English since I was 5!! I answered to "first language" quite literally.) Will I run into any problem with PA programs? Would they assume otherwise?   --I was born in California and went to schools K-12 in Cali and then Uni of Cali, Santa Cruz for undergrad. Has anyone else experienced this?
**The application is locked & I am unable to change it to English**

      Hi All!
I am a graduate student in public health and have worked with providers to inform patient care plans as well as screen patients for adverse childhood experiences, resiliency, quality of life, etc... I have not been an EMT, CNA, Aid, or other roles that are usually seen with direct patient care experience for PA schools. I have already submitted my application, but after attending an information session I am nervous that schools will not count my public health hours as patient care (I made the mistake of listing them as health care experience and not patient care experience). Does anyone have any thoughts on this process? I have already reached out to one school directly and added the experiences as patient care experience in CASPA (it lets you do this even after submission, but I do not know what happens next). I do have a lot of healthcare experience and research experience. Have anyone else added experiences after they submitted? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to private message if that is better for you. Thanks so much! I really appreciate any support with this!

      Hi guys!
I recently graduated and I am working on my CASPA application. I am super nervous about my personal statement.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some tips/ pointers on how to format it, what to include, and what to omit.
I frequently second guess myself, so any opinions would be helpful.
      I really appreciate any help.
Send me a pm if possible!
      Thank you,
      Ahuva

5 years ago my wife and I participated in a sweat equity program to help build our current home and 4 other homes in our neighborhood. I'm wanting to include this experience since it involved helping others in my community that fell within a certain lower income bracket, but I want to label it correctly in CASPA. My current thinking is that I can mark it as "volunteer" and also check that it was "compensated." Even though we didn't receive any money, we built equity in our home by building it ourselves along with the help of the other families. Does this sound ok? Or should I label it as something else completely?
      Thank you!
