What to do after you've completed patient contact hours?

What can I do to make myself stand out in the application process?  High school I completed my Gold Award in Girl Scouts but I don't think PA programs are looking for that even though only 3% of people world wide complete that.

I would (and did) just keep riding with your squad and apply.

You can put stuff from high school if you volunteered, but it has to be consistent through college.  If you did a little here and there its fine.  I had over 6,000 from high school and over 1500 hours from college and during the Navy after college. But this is a spam over 14-15 yrs.

Here is a thought, you could continue to work unless something better comes along and/or start PA school OR start working on your PS

Yes, it is the equivalent to Eagle scout. I earned mine too and was wondering whether to include it

All of sudden after researching of what a GS Gold Award is I suddenly feel old

Include the "gold" award but give one or two sentence explanation. It speaks to teamwork, leadership, and stick-to-it-ness! Do a medical mission. Volunteer at a homeless shelter. Or similar.
