quesoburrito
Can anyone one recommend a good online medical terminology course? I need one to fulfill a pre-req. Thanks!
dndandrea
I'm not sure if this will fulfill your pre-req but i'm taking the full 3credit medical terminology class right now and we use a book with the online content. It's attached to our Angel login content but it's still online through elsevier pretty much. Check it out for yourself and see if it'll work for you because i'm learning a lot by using it and my teacher really hasn't taught me anything i havent learned from it online or in the book. My class is online but we meet once a week for tests/lecture. https://evolve.elsevier.com/productPages/i_2395_6529.html
RHC81
I took mine through Arapahoe Community College online. It was very thorough and was three credit hours.
zerog
Does med term count for science GPA on CASPA? I can't find it on their website.
Will352ns
Oddly, CASPA listed mine as English. I originally had it as non-science, but they changed it during verification.

groundsquirrel
I think just about any community college that offers an allied health program would have an online medical term class. I also know that Chemetka Community College offers a lot of classes online and I think it costs like $89.00 per credit hour.
snowpixi
I'm taking one now through Corexel, and you can get credit for it. Itself paced and you have a year to finish.
uscbigdawg
Took mine at American River College in Sacramento. Online and finished it in like 2 weeks. Rich
sotaskimmer
The school I got in to accepted online certificates for medical terminology (no credit hours). If your school explicitly states that they accept that, you may want to do what I did and get yours from ExpertRating.com. http://www.expertrating.com/certifications/Medical-Terminology-Certification/Medical-Terminology-Certification.asp The quality of the "course" is abysmal, and it was almost certainly created by someone for whom English was not their first language. BUT, after perusing the first lesson, I just skipped to the final exam and got an 80%, passing is a 50%. Questions on the exam are of poor quality also, but hey, $80 and 1 hour after signing up I had an med term online certification. Got my paper certificate in 2 weeks. My school found it satisfactory.
