JDtoPA1
Is there anyone who has or currently is transitioning from a career as an attorney to physician assistant? Maybe you simply have a JD but never practiced?

Moderator EMEDPA Posted December 29, 2019 Moderator Share Posted December 29, 2019 There was a JD to PA in my class. He wanted to continue practicing law as a malpractice defense attorney while doing a bit of primary care on the side to understand the medicine better.
Boatswain2PA
I've lightly considered going PA to JD. If my wife were to ever win the (big) lottery I would likely do that and do strictly pro-bono work. Our legal system (I won't lie an call it a "justice" system) is only a little worse than our "healthcare" system.

He did malpractice defense and primary care. I never met him, but there were so few pa's back then that his name would come up from time to time. He represented docs and pa's and from what I heard, did a good job for them.
BirdDogPA
I believe the program director at the University of Lynchburg is a PA, JD.
