I'm a 38 year old PA wannabe at this point. I am currently attending college part-time, working full-time, and supporting a wife and four kids (two boys, two girls). I also have a current EMT-B certificate, but I'm not employed as an EMT. I will probably be applying for the 2009 IPAP class if I don't get deployed to crush skulls first.

Greetings to everyone. I'm new to the board and thought I'd introduce myself. I spent 10 years in the Marine Corps (3 yrs 2nd Recon Bn, 3 yrs DI 1st Bn "C" Co, and 3 yrs Force Recon Co) and have been a Paramedic for 7 years including ground CCT and currently a flight medic. I am currently set to finish my B.S. in Exercise Physiology in the next two years and plan on applying to PA school after that. I'm looking forward to taking part in this board.

Plan on studying my *** off to keep pace.

Congradulations. There were many, many times as an Army PA in an Infantry or Armor Battalion that I sure would have benefited from Combat Arms Officer training and experience.

However, during PA school, Medic/EMT/91C (now 68M6) training sure made it easy.

2003-2005 Was active duty Air Force. Comm Nav Avionics Technician on the MC-130/AC-130 at the AFSOC (special ops) command base at Hurlburt Field. (ill always miss those days)

I did school while i was in active duty as i always was motivated for it and i am very close to graduating with my Bachelors. The military really helped me build character.
