Croser2
Name is Chris, just graduated from PA school at UK. I have a wife and 2 children. Very interested in joining the military. I have briefly looked at the Army (active and reserve) as well as National Guard. Still have a lot of questions and decisions to make, so I'm trying to find answers here. 3GeronimoPA
Name is Chris, just graduated from PA school at UK. I have a wife and 2 children. Very interested in joining the military. I have briefly looked at the Army (active and reserve) as well as National Guard. Still have a lot of questions and decisions to make, so I'm trying to find answers here. Welcome. Make a post with your questions. You'll get 100 different responses. Chew the meat, spit the bones, and if you decide to join, welcome... again. Feel free to ask people how long they've been in the military. Getting a little background on people giving you the "golden ticket" may help you prioritize. The Army needs good PAs on both active duty, national guard, and reserves. If you have a heart for service, I hope you'll consider it and seek the senior guys' advice on here. They have a lot to offer...

I was F4 Phantom Aviation Hydraulics mechanic (MOS 6054) at beautiful Beaufort from '79-'82. Ooh-rah! Aviation Ordnance = Death From Above. Kind of reminds me of that Full Metal Jacket scene where Private Joker is being interviewed: Private Joker: I wanted to meet stimulating and interesting people of an ancient culture............... and kill them. I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get a confirmed kill.

Marvin Blank
Current AD 18D Looking into PA school (civilian) when I ETS in about 2 years (already finished undergrad as a Sociology major before the Army, and am working on a BS in EM online right now). Looking at focusing on EM, and going that route along with staying in the N Guard as an 18D (got to get my fix of the fun stuff every now and then :) Just came across this site, and it seems like a great resource so far. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

Good luck and welcome to the party pal!:D

Good luck and welcome to the party pal!:D No doubt, but I was referring more to the "fun stuff" as in getting to play with guns, jump out of planes and helicopters, and occasionally getting to vacation where bad people are trying to kill you. I can do that as an 18D on a (Guard) Team, not so much as an Army PA. :) Stay safe, and thanks for the welcome.
