The said it would be the day or 2 after you receive your acceptance you’d get an email for scholarships

Directly from MGHIHP

Institute Scholarships:
- Institute scholarship recipients were notified of their award in their program acceptance letter.
- All program applicants were considered for the Institute Scholarship.

Hi! I would say your estimate is accurate. The cost of living in Boston really varies depending on which neighborhood you're in. If you're sharing an apartment, a bedroom could cost you anywhere between $800-1300 per month. I chose MGH because I really liked the flipped classroom model and TBL approach. Also, Boston is a great place to live but that's subjective. I would compare the curriculum, what resources are available, and clinical affiliations to help make that decision.

Thank you so much! I used to live in Boston (Somerville) and absolutely loved the city.

I have another question: I saw on the website that Clinical Year Travel and Housing is $2,500.  Can you comment on how they came up with this number? Do they arrange housing for us, or do we find it and pay for it ourselves? Also, do you keep paying your lease at your place in Boston during clinical year?

Anyone hear about scholarships yet?

Someone said this earlier regarding scholarships:

"Directly from MGHIHP

Institute Scholarships:
- Institute scholarship recipients were notified of their award in their program acceptance letter.
- All program applicants were considered for the Institute Scholarship."

Hope this helps! If not, maybe reach out via email and ask.

Hi!

I am so sorry for the late response. We had our finals and we went straight into vacation mode.

I believe that $2500 is an arbitrary number as it seems that majority of the second-year students are all doing their clinicals within driving distance of Boston. However, there were some students that opted to do clinicals in other states. Housing is not arranged for us and we do have to cover the cost ourselves. Because of this, us first-years have thought about downsizing to a smaller apartment or even possibly moving further away from the city to save money in the scenario we have to find housing for clinicals.
