sartort
In college I started participating in endurance running events, including a half marathon. I used these events as an opportunity to fundraise for the American Cancer Society among a few other local charities. Should I include this and how should I input it into CASPA? Administrator rev ronin Posted May 20, 2012 Administrator Share Posted May 20, 2012 Sure, you could include it. I'd list yourself as a volunteer fundraiser, the hours as time actually spent running in the race or raising money (NOT practice), and note what you did (ran; begged friends, family, and perhaps strangers) and the amount you raised by doing it. I did the Scott Firefighter Stair Climb, but I didn't include it anywhere on CASPA. I *did* discuss it in response to interview questions as a particularly difficult accomplishment, and it was well received.

Corpsman2PA
Yeah it'd be the same as somebody doing a Relay-for-Life event. I listed a Relay that I did as team president and listed my duties, hours walked and funds raised on CASPA.
