  1. those are the very reasons I switched to PA. Even during my worst days in school I still believe I made the right decision. If you have specific questions regarding pros and cons, feel free to reach out.
  2. It’s good to see people who actually realize though Medicine is surely a business, our patients are still human. Social issues certainly have a place in medicine and definitely medical education.
  3. I am currently finishing up my didactic portion of PA school and considering the amount of loan debt I will have, I am considering enlisting into the airforce or navy after completing PA school in 12/2020. I was previously an Occupational Therapist though I am not sure if that will matter regarding pay etc. If anyone has advice regarding this process and details on loan repayment, I would greatly appreciate it.
  4. Wow, I just found this thread. Im an OTR and I start PA school next month. I am very excited about the opportunities ahead in medicine. Its good to know there are other therapists on this journey as well!
  5. Yeah I remember programs saying that’s a red flag for PA programs because it goes against the accreditation standards. This is going to be interesting.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. As a NC native, I think considering UNC has a well established school of medicine with a wealth of other allied health programs, a lot of this is simple policy and procedure. UNC is also the only state supported hospital system which gives them plenty of options for clinical sites. I’m not overly concerned but that’s just my opinion. Nonetheless, good luck to all! I shared a link to the ARC-PA. Feel free to take a look. http://www.arc-pa.org/frequently-asked-questions/standards/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
