medic25
Ugh...... This part scares me: PROGRAM OBJECTIVES The program prepares the Naturopathic Physician Assistant for employment in the Naturopathic, Allopathic or Complementary health care community at the experienced level, having full confidence in their skills. How exactly will this prepare students to work in the allopathic community? Will these graduates be trying to sell themselves as legitimate PA's? Do most states have laws restricting the use of the "physician assistant" title to actual legitimate PA's?
andersenpa
I think it means they will (ideally) work as NPAs within allopathic practices, but functioning under the scope of a naturopathic doc. "The Naturopathic Physician Assistant is to assist the Naturopathic Physician or other licensed physician in the application of the above listed therapies, modalities and patient intake"

Hemegroup
A good friend of mine is a MD/ND, but somehow I don't think he'd choose to work with a NPA ... I'll have to ask him what he thinks of this malarkey.
cinntsp
You can also become a "colon hydrotherapy technician" My A&P teacher rambled off a story that had a sentence that started with "my colon hydrotherapist." I couldn't really take her seriously after that.
