Joelseff
I have a couple classmates who are now surgical PAs. I went to a "Primary Care Associate Program" and they did not need further certification. They weren't STs either. Seems like every PA wants surgery. Funny thing is, I was the only ST in my class and I did NOT want to go into surgery.... Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using Tapatalk
andersenpa
The only differences are: 1. You attend a surgical focus PA program (1 or 2 left at this point?) 2. You attend a postgrad surgical residency. Elective. There is no "surgical PA degree".

DizzyJ
....you're in PA school and didnt know you have freedom to specialize??? My thoughts exactly....How someone makes it into PA school not knowing the ins and outs of the profession just baffles me.
