Using crisis for professional gain!?

This was also advertized on TV major news station.

Ive seen some PA’s post that it is unprofessional to push for OTP/FPA during the pandemic. There is.a Discussion on reddit right now.  do you not realize the reason nurses and NP’s have blown past PA’s is because they don’t care what other peer professionals think. They do not set around wringing their hands over upsetting the doctors or PA’s. In 10-15 years, maybe less. PA can be physicians associate or assistant. RN’s will practice like PA’s with NP will be like physicians.
Title change that is not physician dependent and Independence absolutely necessary.

Right now is our time to shine, we should even double down on advertising about PAs. Once this is all over, we can use it as an evidence to be allowed to practice at the top of our license. We should be practicing to the full extent in regard to our education, training and experiences. There is nothing  unprofessional about it.

trying to remove barriers that could help people? How dare we. Shame on ACEP for using this crisis to remove payment barriers. Shame physicians for using this to show how mistreated they are by admin. Shame on nurses and physicians trying to get hazard pay. Shame on NPs trying to remove barriers. Shame businesses trying to get bail outs. Shame on politicians pushing for M4A. Shame on all the unemployed trying to get student loans discharged.

oh the shame...

Happy to see this. The discussion on reddit made me sick. Tired of being left in the dust by every other profession.

I can’t stand it over there. It’s like the antithesis to PAFT there. Most posters just falling over for the physicians and then Med students/residents brigade the forum down voting anything progressive.
