Josealga
Hello all. I am taking my GRE on Friday and I am awfully nervous. Writing the narrative essay, this is the last thing I need for this April's application round. I am studying hard, but still feel unconfident. I am just wondering how many times can I take this exam without it causing an alarm with the reviewers of my application?
TheLastStone
Have you been taking the practice tests in normal testing situations? I would recommend that. Also, how long have you been studying? I wouldn't rush it if you don't feel ready. You can take it 5 times a year, but I honestly wouldn't take it more than twice, personally. If you score a 300+ I'd call it a day. Good luck!
Josealga
I been studying on and off since march. Had times of not studying due to other stuff that prevented me from having the time to study. I took one practice test and got lower than the 50 percentile that the schools want. I keep seeing percentiles, not combined scores for the schools that want the GRE.
UGoLong
You can take it multiple times. To be frank, from what I've seen, the essay is the least important part. The goal is to get over the 50th percentile in quant and verbal. Take a break and relax. Given two days to go, that's probably the best use of your time. Good luck!
