    Supplemental Application

Hey everyone, Currently, I am doing the supplemental application for Stony Brook, but the PDF file does not fit all my answers that are 250 words or less. I emailed them regarding this concern, but if anyone has resolved this issue in the past, can you let me know what did you do? Thank you. (wrote this in the school-specific thread too )

    Resume

Hey everyone, This is kind of a dumb question, but in my experiences section, I put all the stuff I have done in college and present, but some programs want a CV/resume to be submitted. I have a long form resume with everything that I have done and copy and edit it for when I need it. Should I send the long form one to these programs, or cut it down? Also, some programs say to explain gaps in the resume that are 6 months to a year. I feel by taking out some stuff, it will appear to have gaps. Thank you. Have a good one.

    I’ll read your PS

I messaged my essay to you. Thank you so much. Be as harsh as possible. I am very glad a PA or a student is willing to read these for the forum. Have a good one.

Is the CASPA essay question the same every year? I want to start on it now, but do not want to waste time.

What do you mean by collect experience hours? I already have letters as proof of my experience if that is what you mean.

    Before CASPA starts

Hey everyone. I am just wondering as to what I should be doing before CASPA opens. I have letters of recommendation, all pre read done, etc. Should I ask for my transcript? I made a personal essay but I may redo it, but should I wait? I just really want to be prepared. Thank you and have a good one.

    Personal Essay Help

Good afternoon everyone, I just want to know any suggestions for the personal essay. Any suggestions on how to go about it? A lot of the stuff I have read seems very broad. I just do not want to sound cliche or over dramatic with my writing. What should be the topic? How should I write it in a unique way? Thank you and have a good one.

    GRE Score

Hey everyone. I have a question. I just took my GRE and received a raw score with a composite score equalling 305. I do not know the percentile or my essay section. Should I take it again because I received a 152 verb and 153 quant.

    GRE Advice

I been studying on and off since march. Had times of not studying due to other stuff that prevented me from having the time to study. I took one practice test and got lower than the 50 percentile that the schools want. I keep seeing percentiles, not combined scores for the schools that want the GRE.

    GRE Advice

Hello all. I am taking my GRE on Friday and I am awfully nervous. Writing the narrative essay, this is the last thing I need for this April's application round. I am studying hard, but still feel unconfident. I am just wondering how many times can I take this exam without it causing an alarm with the reviewers of my application?
  14. Good morning, I have been a CNA for about 5 months now working full time (40 hours a week). I have hands on volunteering, shadowing hours, and other volunteering experience. The thing is I do not like the facility I work for. They overwork and I do not think it is worth the risk of staying if my body is getting damaged do to the job. I just have concerns that if I leave, how would schools see that I go from being a CNA in one place and doing something else in less than s year? I don't want my application to get denied but considering how taxing the job is, I am between a rock and a hard place. Can anyone give me advice on this?!

    GRE Preparation

Hey everyone, I have not wrote on this for awhile since I have been busy with my CNA job. I just bought my GRE books to study for the GRE,but I need some assistance. I am planning on taking it in July or August, but is that enough time if I start now (2/28/17). I purchased the bundle for the GRE books as recommended from friends who did pretty well for the exam. I just want any tips or pointers for the exam? Any advice or recommendations? Thank you!
