frenchy
Sorry if this has been asked but I am wondering when I should start applying for my first job out of school. I will be graduating in March 2017 and plan to take my PANCE on week after school. When should I start putting out my resume? Thanks
Administrator rev ronin Posted September 4, 2016 Administrator Share Posted September 4, 2016 3-6 months prior to graduation. Hiring and credentialing can take that long.
jlumsden
I agree with revronin. I would add that during my rotations, there were rotations and areas of medicine that I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. I had rotations in oncology, emergency medicine and infectious diseases toward the end of my clinical year, and they were awesome. I applied for jobs in those areas. If I'd committed to work earlier, I wouldn't have thought to apply. Keep that in mind this year.
