fdamico1985
Hi everyone! I wanted everyone's input on emailing thank you notes/appreciations to those we interviewed with... The school was incredibly laid back and all of the faculty were exceptionally nice. There are about 5 people I wanted to thank and I have their email addresses. Ok to do in this day and age...or too impersonal? Thanks.
Hemegroup
I did it ... and right afterwards received my offer.
GreatChecko
Same here. It's proper interview etiquette and just another chance to get your name in front of the admissions committee, which never hurts. I sent my thank you to the coordinator as the interviewers didn't provide their emails.
Guest ERCat
I wrote handwritten thank yous and sent them about 48 hours after my interview...And I was accepted a few days later! I think it had a lot to do with it.
cinntsp
An email is fine and probably the best route since it's more timely. Just keep it short and simple--no schmoozing the interviewers. Thank them for their time, mention something you found interesting if you want, and leave it at that.
GatorRRT
Spend the 40 cents on a stamp and handwrite a quick thank you note to those who interviewed you. Its a classy touch and makes you stand out a bit more than an impersonal email.
Guest carolanimal
Should you write a thank you note to each person individually or just one that addresses everyone you want to thank?
GatorRRT
I did one for each interviewer.
