hlj25950
What is your favorite resource for patient education materials? My family medicine office is still using paper charts, and so there is no patient portal or database of quick printable materials, which is what I’ve used previously. While there is no substitute for talking to your patients, we all know they forget much of what you go over with them. I like giving out education materials, but I don’t want it to be overwhelming. I think it’s best to keep the information to a page or less, just a quick, hey, this is your diagnosis, this is what it means, and this is what you should do. Anyway, resources? Thanks! fishbum
UpToDate has a lot of patient education handouts. Seems like most conditions have an option for a very basic version or a less basic version.
