BayPAC
I'm new grad and just received my first job offer. Salary is more than I was expecting but for some reason I'm hesitant to say yes. Have you ever felt this way? Have you ever not trusted your gut, accepted a job offer and regretted it?
camoman1234
Go with your GUT, it is almost always right. Good luck!
mgriffiths
For me the question is why your gut is making you hesitant? Do you not have enough information, concern about something that was mentioned, job requirements, etc.? Or, are you concerned they are trying to hire you at a higher salary to cover for something that is going to be significantly negative?
BayPAC
Great point, mgriffiths! I think I am more concerned about the reviews the practice has. For the most part, they are negative and reflect lack of organization, which I already could see during the interview process. Salary is great, benefits are okay. thinkertdm
The answer is yes. To both trusted my gut and not trusted my gut. Quote ...may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato. There's more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are! MidwesternTexan
YES, I've regretted just that too many times in 24 yrs! I won't go into it here, BUT, I say, if your gut says no, if you can afford $ it, keep looking! I'm telling ya!
GetMeOuttaThisMess
I’ve got a lot of gut to trust, I’ve been in that situation, and it’s almost always correct. My first job was that way and it worked out ok, second job they talked me into it and it was ok. Since then, I’m just a mercenary. Biggest faux pax? Dallas VA, and I knew it going in. quietmedic
Yup...regret my current job. Gut said don't take it. Took it anyway. I was right. Hate it.
Wish1pa
Yes. My last job had bad reviews as well, offered me the job on the spot at the interview (usually a red flag) but I needed a job and didn't know when the next one would come along so I took it. It ended up ending badly. Trust your gut, money isn't everything.
