ajnelson
I've been asked to write a letter for a Pre-PA/Pre-med student. Its been a long time since I've written one, just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should be sure to address or of any reference sites I can use? Thanks! Administrator rev ronin Posted May 21, 2017 Administrator Share Posted May 21, 2017 * How long have you known the applicant? * What have you seen him or her accomplish? * Based on your personal experiences, how do you compare this applicant to others seeking a similar program or position (or those in the target profession you know)
UGoLong
I would ask in what capacity do you know the applicant and what you can say that another writer who knows him or her from a different perspective could not. sas5814
A pearl taught to me by a old friend...I only write one letter of rec a year so I say that in the letter. Something along the lines of "I am often asked to write letters of recommendation and I only write one per year. This year I am recommending *candidate*."
