Course of action when waitlisted:

Recommended Posts

1) Do nothing but wait

2) Send an unrequested LOR from a PA

3) Send a personal letter with your updates from this past year (relevant additional non-prerequisite coursework, HCE, training, ect)

4) Contact via phone first to see if 2 and/or 3 is okay

A few google searches typically state you should take some form of action, but not be annoying about it. Wondering if people serving on an admission committe for PA programs have a different opinion on this.

You should replace 1, which is an absolutely terrible option all around, with:

5) Continue accruing HCE and taking relevant courses and getting 4.0s in them, while remedying any identified deficiencies from this application season, since a lot of perfectly decent candidates will not get in and will need to go back into the next cycle, and you want to distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack if you find yourself in that boat. This run-on sentence brought to you by the letters "P", "A", and the number "12"...
