patobe123
when you earn an interview, is everyone that's granted an interview on the same playing field? or do they consider stats + interview when deciding admission? thanks!

TrevInTampa813
They say everyone is on the same playing field but they still consider your stats. Also, they base a lot of questions on your stats. If you have awesome GPA and Test Scores and Experience then all they can really ask you are relaxed hypothetical questions that give you a chance to shine, whereas if you have a weak GPA you're going to get a lot of questions about whether you can handle the course load or why you were lazy in undergrad. Think of it like this, everyone who gets an interview is good enough to get in but a candidate with a 4.0 GPA is going to get a spot over a 3.2 candidate barring an interview meltdown assuming that they are interviewed in the same time frame. Now if the 3.2 was interviewed in July and the 4.0 was interviewed in November and classes start in January... So, in short, i will give you the generic "They look at the whole body of work including your interview, GPA's, GRE, Experience, ect ect"
emorley
If you were granted an interview, they liked you enough on paper to want to meet you in person. Here, they will be able to see how you handle the stress of an interview (and in a sense, life and situational stress) and they will get to know how you handle ethical and behavioral situations. If you made it to this point, your stats are good enough for them. The interview will make or break you!!
