PA2021Florida Posted May 18, 2023 Share Posted May 18, 2023 Does having a pre-PA student shadowing you count as CME level 2 (not being a preceptor*)? I have done all my CME level 1 through Medscape activities, but need to secure more cat 2 CME. I know this should be the easier of the CME to obtain, but I just want to ensure I know what activities are appropriate. I had a student I was precepting in a clinical rotation and I took hour for hour cat 2 just because I didn't need any more cat 1. For example, if someone is following me around and I am teaching and explaining medical things, I count it. When I want/need to review something and I look it up in one of my reference books, I count it as Cat 2.
