Cw8887
1. Does anyone have any suggestions on really good pain management books for a new grad going into the PM world? 2. I cannot find anywhere if PAs are allowed to prescribe their first year in Pennsylvania. Does anyone happen to know? Thanks!!
Joelseff
I worked in pain (PM&R) out of school. I didn't read a book but really just studied my opiates and their limits/uses. I developed an algorithm based on level of pain and that came in handy daily. As far as Pennsylvania, I dunno. Check with your state board or society Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using Tapatalk

Guest Paula
My PA school taught us the state laws for PA practice including licensing, obtaining DEA license, whether or not we had to take a state test for prescribing, the ins and outs of the laws. Is this not taught anymore? IF we were going to move out of state we were told to get the info from state PA boards, state PA chapters, and where to get the info.
