whoRyou
Currently I am working in an assisted living/nursing home facility as a Resident Care Associate/Certified Nurse Aide. I have been there almost six months. Recently I was approached by a co-worker and asked if I would be interested in becoming a Med Aide. Do you believe if I do both this would enhance my chances when applying or should I just stick to being a CNA? Also, would it help pharmacology? DiggySRNA
What is the scope of a Med Aide?
ilygurlie
I think it'd be a great position. You pass out medications, can help with dressings, determine if a resident needs to go to the ER... etc. You have more responsibilities than a CNA. I am certified as a med aide/tech but didn't utilize it as I got a job in the hospital as a tech shortly after getting my certification.
