quietmedic
Pretty much as I said...If I listen to a relevant medical podcast, can I claim Cat II credits for it?
Moderator EMEDPA Posted November 3, 2011 Moderator Share Posted November 3, 2011 yup. you can claim cat 2 for anything including journal reading, informal discussions with colleagues, etc I'm tempted to use the pa forum for cat 2 credit.... medic25
I just recently started listening to EMCrit and Toxtalk, which are excellent podcasts; thanks for the idea about Category II.
burnpac
iTunes U has a plethora of medical podcasts that are are high quality. I'm partial to burn surgeon Jeff Guy and his great series on ICU and SICU issues. The target audience is surgical residents and the focus is on practical management of critical care patients. Very useful.

VictoriaO
I am the biggest podcast nerd! I hear Scott Wiengart and Jeff Guys's voices in my head whenever I think about certain topics Learning radiology is great, ERcast isn't bad. UC Irvine Emergency med publishes their whole lecture series on the Itunes U section (it's the narrated powerpoints with case studies, very cool, lots of pictures.) University of Arizona also has narrated powerpoints for their internal medicine grand rounds.
quietmedic
Yup, cool, listening to Jeff Guy as we speak! I actually ran into Scott Weingart during my training, Idid a clinical rotation at the same ER he works at, or should I call it the "other ICU"... Administrator rev ronin Posted August 10, 2020 Administrator Share Posted August 10, 2020 2 hours ago, UCPAC said: how many hours do you log for listening to podcast? For cat 2? 1:1, depending on what you actually listened to.
