ED New Grad Offer

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some of you to weigh in on a recent offer I received.

I am in my clinical year of school and graduate in December. This is my first offer. I am visiting the site later in the month.

Full-time 1099 Contract Job

No benefits; company has buy-in benefits that most midlevels at hospital use.

Malpractice: 1 million/3 million with pre-purchased tail

CME/DEA/License coverage: Negotiable

Vacation/Sick Time: None (can take unpaid vacations)

Call: None

RVU's/Bonuses: Not at this time

12 shifts/month minimum guranteed; can pick up extra shifts at rate and occasional increased rate for holidays/times in need.

Pay is $75/hr.

They want to start me in a provider-in-triage role and slowly integrate me through fast-track and eventually be in regular ED.

Any additional things I need to ask or try to get into contract before site visit?

Thanks!
