winterallsummer
Hello. For out pt abx I do okay remembering what abx are used for what specific indications (eg uti, cap, atypical pneumonia, sti's, diverticulitis, etc etc). However in pt I have a harder time choosing abx based off cultures etc. I find myself looking up abx used but there are several broad coverage gram neg or pos abx to choose from. A C&S helps but I am hoping to build a better foundation of empiric abx while cultures are pending. Thanks all for any and all suggestions. GetMeOuttaThisMess
Is this what you're looking for? Sanford Guide or Johns Hopkins Abx. Guide. There is also one built in to Epocrates Essentials as I recall.
cinntsp
Tarascon pharmacopoeia is good if you want an actual book. There are pocket and labcoat versions as well. Also, susceptibilities are often done and you can work off of that once they're available. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
