annieng05
Hello everyone, I came across a company online called, "Consumer Assistance Project" that is supposed to help eliminate or significantly reduce your student loan debt. They are a 501©4 non profit organization. Because they are a non profit org, they take a "donation" from you while they provide their services of investigating the student loans companies. They base your donation fee on the total amount of debt owed and you pay that monthly. I looked them up on the Florida State website and found them, including and emplyoee identification number, as well as on the IRS website. I am just concerned that this could be a scam company and want to know if anyone else has signed up with them and if they are true to what they say?? They claim they will keep me informed as to what they are doing along the way. What else can I do to ensure they are a legitimate company?
