myironlung
Back when I was in PA school, they had us use a PDA for all our patient encounters. We also downloaded medical programs to help us. Since then, my PDA device doesn't seem to be supported by most medical programs. Does anyone have any medical programs to suggest I download on my device? I must stress that I can't use any iphone/ipad/android type device for facility reasons. It must be Windows Mobile. Thanks!!
AREID
What?! I wouldn't be able to live without my iphone. Windows is a horrible product. I feel for you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

myironlung
been googling and can't find anything. My PDA has windows 6 from 2007. There has to be something out there online that I can download on this thing. Even if I have to pay for it. I won't be leaving my job, it's great. cinntsp
Why don't you just buy an android or iphone and use it for all the med apps you could want? You could just use it on wifi if you don't want a service plan. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Moderator True Anomaly Posted December 26, 2013 Moderator Share Posted December 26, 2013 Yeah, um, why is it exactly you can't use iphone/Android systems? Your job doesn't allow it? I'm confused as to how that's possible
skyblu
I thought PDA's sat next to Moses' stone tablet in the Museum of Obsolete Handheld Devices... My iPhone is my peripheral brain.
myironlung
My PDA is only allowed because i'm in a correctional facility. And the PDA being approved is even pushing it with the facility. iphone/android is a phone and/or has ability to take pictures/record so it's contraband. Worst part of the job I'd say. Administrator rev ronin Posted December 28, 2013 Administrator Share Posted December 28, 2013 My iPod 3rd generation has neither a camera nor a cell connection. I'd see if something like that was allowed. Oh, and when you put an iPod into airplane mode it lasts for a week or more before you need to recharge the battery. cinntsp
You will have a tough time then. Most apps are developed for iOS and android and your device is outdated by many years. Rev's suggestion might work for you or maybe you can find a tablet without a camera. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Nobody supports PDAs for software anymore unfortunately.
myironlung
alright so I think they are going to reject the itouch due to internet connection capability. So I think I just have to go to the books. Is there any small compact book or anything that's similar to the Epocrates layout like Dx, Tx, pharm look up etc...? Current comes to mind but hoping there's a less detailed smaller book or guide. Thanks for the responses.
