kslight6
Hello, I am a new PA in primary care. Please advise me on where I may obtain Free CME category 1 hours. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance.
Moderator ventana Posted January 15, 2011 Moderator Share Posted January 15, 2011 join AAPA and there is a ton - 0 - free cme (and you want to be getting the feel for the profession by staying in the loop) also - costs money but not a lot - prescribers letter - about 100 per year and you get 12 credits and many states you need some certain # in pharm and this satisfies - but most importantly it is really helpful. also seem to think epocrates has some free cme
Administrator rev ronin Posted January 15, 2011 Administrator Share Posted January 15, 2011 Does Medscape's free CME count?
marilynpac
Also I get free cme weekly that goes to my email. Has anyone used this? Is it free? There is also low cost cme by cme resources. They have a package now 30 cat 1 cmes for $69! Not bad. I usually go through them b/c they have very interesting topics that are well written(not boring). sbellin
There truely are a lot of online CME options. These are some of the ones I've used recently. A word of caution if you're a new grad, DO start your CME early and DO it often. DON'T wait towards the end of the CME cycle to start doing it. Good luck. I ran accross this site and have found it helpful for the knowledge and the CME; http://www.jhcape.com/betaX/site/index.cfm While Audio-Digest is generally a pay for CME site in does have some free CME options which are pretty good: http://www.audio-digest.org/pages/htmlos/current/index.htm
