Ejsmith829
I was an English teaching major-- with a BA. I took limited science courses (bio, chemistry, organic, a and p) and was accepted to two programs first attempt. If anything I think my unusual background helped set me apart! CJ1800
I was a kinesiology major and was accepted into pa school. It really does not matter what your major is honestly (all of the students in my class are from different backgrounds). I think one major advantage for kinesiology majors is the volume of anatomy and physiology they receive - I honestly think they have a great advantage over other backgrounds in that regard. I was able to get my healthcare experience through cardiac rehab as a student intern during my undergrad, which helped significantly. IMO, if you're doing well in terms of academics, getting your healthcare experience in some way, and are a great interviewer, being a kinesiology major is definitely a great background to have.
