jacqnguyen
Are there any other ways I can gain hands-on clinical experience without prior certification? Thank you in advance for your input!
ToppDog
Both phlebotomy & CNA are very short courses, & 200 hours is only 5 weeks of 40 hrs per week. Some CNA jobs will train you on the job. Do some checking around in your area to find out. the 200 is probably a minimum also, so don't be suprised if in reality you will need more. newbeginning
I'm not sure how soon you are looking to collect 200+ hours, but Resident aide positions are basically CNA without the certification. The pay is substantially lower, but if all you need are hours, go for it! Nursing homes are easier to get into than hospital systems. So start there.
