TWR
Afriend sent me an email asking what I thought about putting flour on a burn which apparently prevented pain or blistering if applied immediately after the incident. Anyone with burn experience have anything to say about this? I never heard of this so before I respond to her I am asking the "experts". Thanks

TWR
You are correct. I see this email has been passing around since 2011. Shame on me for even putting out there. Too early in the morning I think. ; (
Glorious_Ignoramus
Asking for medical advice on an internet forum is a really bad idea.

cop to pa
With for thermal burns, without for scalds...
UpRegulated
Sounds legit. I'd just be sure to check the chart for "gluten sensitivity" before applying, especially for full thickness burns. :)
etacalpha
Our protocol for partial and full thickness burns is to stop the burning process. Using NS normally and then wrap with saran wrap. It stops the air from getting to burn and causing more pain as well as slows fluid loss. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
