2023-2024 Application Cycle

Recommended Posts

Definitely getting worried too. I am a third time applicant and got waitlisted the last two years. It must be a really competitive year since they are doing 70% in state and 30% out of state in terms of interviews/acceptances. The way they broke it down was 192 interviews but of those, ~134 in state applicants will be selected and ~58 out of state applicants will be selected for interviews. Of those interviewed, they are accepting 67 in state and 30 out of state applicants. Not to mention that GPA makes up 70% of the pre interview scores so if you’re a low GPA applicant like me, it’s hard to tell if we will receive an interview. From what everyone’s saying from the forum, it looks like the week of November 7th is probably the last week of interviews so only about 3 more weeks of interviews it seems like. Trying to stay positive and hope for the best though! Good luck to everyone.

Facts, and as much as I want to be a PA I also just want to get my career started as an older applicant.

Same here. I graduated back in 2019 so it’s been about 4 years of working towards this goal and spending thousands of dollars. I do hope I can get another interview but if not then after this cycle, I plan to apply for ABSN then reapply for PA school. I think it would be good experience and a GPA booster. If I’m unable to make it for PA then I’ll also consider DNP. It’s just been really hard especially thinking about  wanting to have kids in a couple years but feeling like I have to push the plan back because I want to get my career started first.

I’m in the same boat looking at ABSN, but I don’t want to give up.
