DianafuturePA
Hi everyone, According to last year's timeline, the application opened on March 15th. The 2024-2025 application will probably open in a few weeks. Just wanted to start the thread for this cycle. 1

This should be available on the application form on their website. Do you not see the essay prompts?
DianafuturePA
You can find essay’s prompt in the Application and Program Guidance. paschoolamy
Just a question to confirm, the NHSC scholarship does not have rolling admission right?
kdreamz88
When filling out the application and it asks for the specialty after putting PA as the discipline, does it matter which one we click out of the drop-down list they provide us? Will that hinder our chances of being accepted as a recipient if we do not choose family medicine?
Billdog29
No it shouldn’t change anything on your chances of being accepted.

Correct: the applicants receive acceptance around the same time each year (end of August thru September)

I noticed in other threads that people in the past have listed a specialty and been stuck having to choose a job in that specialty even though we don't specialize until we get jobs and most of us applying haven't started our education yet. Unless you're really sure about your specialty you might want to ask
Scrubsandhugs
Does anyone know if I had to decline last year due to deferring my application, can we use the same recommenders? Thanks!
