  1. Thank you for the link. I will certainly take a look. I was attending a few PA school info sessions where their minimum pce was 500 hrs but they were saying the avg is 1500. If you dont have 1500 hrs then dont bother applying was the message I got. So that's why I wanted to ask ppl if they know of others who got accepted with like 500 hrs or less on the east coast.
  2. Thank you! This is very helpful. I don't want to spend money and time to apply to schools that really like their pce.
  3. Thank you so much, I will look into this school!
  4. Hi! Thank you so much for your response! I will look into this school.
  5. Is anyone familiar with any schools that accept students with pce under 1000 hrs but like higher gpa? The issue I am having is PA websites will say their minimum pce hrs is 200 but the average applicant they accept has like 2000 hrs. So, is anyone familiar with any PA schools on the east coast(MD, PA, VA, NJ, NY, SC, NC) where they have been accepted or heard of others being accepted with low pce under 1000 hrs? Thank you!
  6. Hello! I am looking to shadow a PA in MD/DC/VA. Please pm me if you have any info. I am currently getting some hours via online shadowing but many PA schools won't accept this.
  7. I am hearing mixed information and wanted to confirm with people who applied here already... Can any coursework be pending at the time of application as long as it is complete by the start of the program? On the website it says something about waivers so I'm confused.
  8. Wow your GPA is stellar! I'm sure your gre was amazing too. Can I ask for some more advice via email? Would that be alright?
  9. I cannot thank you enough for your response! What do you think helped you stand out in your application?
  10. Thank you so much for your response! It is reassuring to hear that you got an interview invite with 1400 hours. What are some things that you feel AACC really values from volunteering to gpa/coursework? Also, would you be comfortable sharing your stats? If not I don't mind email or private message. Let me know what works for you.
  11. Hi! I am very interested in the Towson/CCBC program. I was wondering if any accepted/current/former students wouldn't mind sharing some information about the program? Does Towson prefer people coming in with a lot of pce? Or do they also take in GPA into high consideration? As well as extracurriculars and volunteering? What can I do to make myself stand out?
  12. I have been talking to some people who were accepted to Anne Arundel and it seems they have a lot of patient care hours, like about 4000 avg. I was wondering if AACC will accept people with pce hours averaging 1000-1400? Anyone been accepted to AACC or know of anyone accepted with under 1400 hours?
