Boatswain2PA
Anybody know what is the required percentage correct to pass the PANCE? I can't seem to find it on the NCCPA website. Tks
bradtPA
It's not a percentage, it's a numerical score of 350.
Boatswain2PA
So questions have different values depending on difficulty? Okay, so if you have to get a 350 to pass, what's a perfect score??
delco714
Isn't it 800? Dunno where I remember that from...
Moderator EMEDPA Posted October 4, 2010 Moderator Share Posted October 4, 2010 Isn't it 800? Dunno where I remember that from... I believe that is correct. I have never seen a score over 700 with is considered the 99% so apparently 1/100 takers gets a score 700-800.
bradtPA
My score of 680 two years ago was 94th percentile at the time. It fluctuates a bit from test to test. There is no weighted score for difficulty. Your raw score will be compared to others taking the exam and placed on a complicated nomogram to determine score based on your percentile ranking. Have you taken the PACKRAT yet? Doing well on it correlates strongly with doing well on the PANCE.....

Boatswain2PA
Brad - no, no packrat yet. Just started the program this past summer. I'm still at the point where I walk out of class every day thinking I'm dumber than when I walked in.
