kismet
I belong to two professional associations/organizations Where would I list them on CASPA? Also, published papers and abstracts? Is there a place for them on CASPA?
Administrator rev ronin Posted September 20, 2010 Administrator Share Posted September 20, 2010 Yes, it goes in your medical school application, not in CASPA. Without putting too fine a point on it, if your application is significantly enhanced by your research or publication portfolio, you really need a very, very good answer to the "Why aren't you going to med school?" question. kismet
My past academic record will attest to that. Plus the fact I've always enjoyed science. I just felt this was one of my accomplishments while I was going through some tough times in my life. It just meant something to me so I though there was a place for it on CASPA. andrewh1014
I also need some suggestions on where to include my publications in my CASPA applications. Any ideas?
Allegro
Professional orgs that you belong to should go under "Professional Registrations" in Personal Data: "Professional Registrations Any current professional certifications (CNA, CPR, etc) should be listed under "health related training." This registration section is referring to professional organizations you may belong to, for example, the American Academy of Physician's Assistants." Luckily you have spots for two!
