webejamin92
Hello, I am a 2nd year Pre-Med student at Fort Lewis College. I am writing a reaserch paper on the PA profession. I was hoping that someone could give me incite the inner working of the job. Also, i was curious what the medical benifits are like working in a hospital. Just Steve
It would help us greatly if you could summarize what you know already from your readings of this site and the 13years of information held within. Plus if you could attach a quick note highlighting what u have learned from your discussions with the PAs that you have shadowed/interviewed with, that would be great. This way we can cover the gaps that are left without wasting your valuable time making you read again what you already know.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted February 7, 2012 Moderator Share Posted February 7, 2012 re: medical benefits: most hospital based pa's work for independent groups not the hospitals themselves so benefits vary greatly. in my group we get the same package as the docs aside from salary and partner bonuses. (same malpractice, vacation, retirement, health ins, licenses paid, cme, etc)
Administrator rev ronin Posted February 8, 2012 Administrator Share Posted February 8, 2012 There are plenty of PA's working at Madigan, both civilian and military, who could give you a great, first-hand experience of what life is like as a PA.
