They sent me an email stating that my application review was pending, but I contacted them last week to verify that they had received my scores and I still haven't heard back. ???? They never notified me that they were reviewing it, only that they were missing my GRE scores. I had actually emailed them two days ago because I was getting concerned that they were still missing something else because I hadn't heard anything- but I never got a response. I received notification of my app on the 30th via email but haven't been notified of interview or rejection but in the email it specifically says "Due to the volume of applications we expect to receive this year, we will not be able to give you the status of your application or your GRE scores being received." I have called and emailed her since, but haven't received any information about it besides what she left in my voicemail. Can anyone tell me if this background check is done the same day of the interview? I'm assuming we have to do it at the facility of their choice since she gave me the price to get one. I'm just confused because most schools require the background check done upon acceptance. I'm a little worried that I won't be able to get there on time to get it done. Thats hard to complete for those of us out-of-state. There is no way I can travel there 2 separate times. I've booked my flight already and rescheduled my final just so I could be there on time for the 27th...now just worried about not being able to do the background check. Perhaps so they can revoke interviews to those that fail the check? I'll try to get in touch with them Monday about the out of state issues.
