1st Year PA-S Posted July 1, 2016 I haven't seen a thread for this year's cycle, so J thought I would start one! I'm still waiting for CASPA to verify me, but I submitted 6/28. Anyone else apply to LIU?
JD2012 Posted July 7, 2016 Just curious did you also have to set up an online app through the school's website or is the CASPA application sufficient? I submitted my app June 30th but haven't heard anything.
1st Year PA-S Posted July 7, 2016 Author I didn't see anything listed about the school application. I think you just do it through CASPA.
JD2012 Posted July 19, 2016 Has anyone heard anything yet? I called today they said they haven't received anything from me even though I was submitted and CASPA verified on July 1st. Also, one of them said their cycle does not open until September. Lastly, I see on their site you can apply and then there is a charge for $50.
1st Year PA-S Posted July 19, 2016 Author I haven't heard anything, but looking at past threads, they seem to start their interviews late, so they may not be reviewing anything yet. I don't know if we need to do the $50 thing, but I didn't want to take any chances and did it anyway.
pa17 Posted July 20, 2016 I applied here as well! Verified through CASPA, but have not heard back from them.
1st Year PA-S Posted July 20, 2016 Author Yeah, I don't think we'll hear from them anytime soon since they are rolling admissions and no one seems to hear from them until later in the year.
pa17 Posted July 20, 2016 Just to confirm - we only had to apply through CASPA or do we have to set up their online application? Thank you so much for informing me.
1st Year PA-S Posted July 20, 2016 Author Just to confirm - we only had to apply through CASPA or do we have to set up their online application? Thank you so much for informing me. I honestly did both, just to be safe. It wouldn't hurt if you don't mind potentially losing $50 towards your education.
abridgeee Posted July 20, 2016 GUYS!! Just called admissions! They said to do both! Honestly the guy didn't sound too sure, but he said that if they put it on the page we should do it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JD2012 Posted July 21, 2016 Thank you for the heads up. I had a feeling it was like that. I called twice and asked and both agents said no but they always sounded unsure. Plus, I saw on their how to apply page listing it as one of the steps to do.
Mrg1993 Posted July 22, 2016 Hey guys! Where is the application on their website? I've read the page so many times maybe I'm just missing it. Thanks!!
nickboom Posted July 23, 2016 I can't find the app on the website either. If its the one under International Applicants then I don't think we need to do it.
pa17 Posted July 24, 2016 Their online application is under the International Applicants I believe on their PA information website!
pa17 Posted July 25, 2016 Hey! I just called admissions today and a lady confidently told me that we do not need to do their online application. Only CASPA verification is required. Just wanted to let people know who did not do it yet. Thank you!
nickboom Posted July 28, 2016 I sent the GRE test scores on test day and every school received them according to CASPA except LIU which is strange. Anyone else having this problem?
JD2012 Posted July 28, 2016 I sent the GRE test scores on test day and every school received them according to CASPA except LIU which is strange. Anyone else having this problem? I am pretty sure it is because the score is sent to the school and not accessed through CASPA. I have another school I applied to that does not show on my CASPA app, but that's because the score is sent directly to the program.
Gmenolascino Posted August 10, 2016 Does anyone know if they are for sure using a rolling admissions process I couldn't find anything on the website. also for the cv/resume portion do you need both? or just resume. because it will only allow you to upload one document

And no, it doesn't say it anywhere on the site. I take my GRE on 8/24. I'm sending my application in when I get home from taking the exam. And I believe you submit whichever one fits you better. CV is more for academia, Resume is for those who have a lot of work experience.
FuturePA-S1995 Posted August 22, 2016 So to clarify, there is no supplemental? We only have to submit through CASPA?
