sasheenp Posted July 24, 2011 I have also applied and heard they received my CASPA application. So next is sending to the review committee. Don't be surprised if you do not hear anything until September. Good luck!

tabby Posted August 1, 2011 Author Thanks! I am really excited! I am from Oregon and would love to stay here! Good luck to you all!
lalitanaia Posted August 4, 2011 My application is complete and I am waiting. Thanks for the warning that we may not hear from them until September :).
mackjacks Posted August 11, 2011 I called them about something else and the woman on the phone told me that there was no advantage to submitting my supplemental application before the deadline; that it was better to wait and include my summer grades on the supplemental, so it sounds like they don't look at much until Sept.
fm2384 Posted August 31, 2011 I'm another applicant:) Anybody know for sure when they start the interviews? I'm guessing either Oct. or Nov.
Administrator rev ronin Posted August 31, 2011 Administrator I'm another applicant:) Anybody know for sure when they start the interviews? I'm guessing either Oct. or Nov. Last year, there were three interview dates, one each in October, November, and December.
IdahoPA Posted September 11, 2011 Last year, there were three interview dates, one each in October, November, and December. That's what I was told for this year, too. We can expect to start hearing after Sept 15th. Not too much longer! :)
DJFenn Posted September 23, 2011 Has anyone received word regarding an interview yet? I would assume interview notifications should be going out soon.
Pedra Posted September 28, 2011 I received an email this morning inviting me to interview on October 22. I submitted my CASPA on August 8. I'm so excited!!!! I look forward to meeting the other candidates at the interview :)
IdahoPA Posted September 29, 2011 I will also be joining the interview date on October 22nd. See you then! I just received my email and if Pedra received hers several hours ago, well, it's prob gonna take a bit for everyone to hear. Good luck!!
OneSweetWorld Posted September 29, 2011 I got the Wednesday morning. See you all on October 22nd! :=D:
Pedra Posted September 29, 2011 Are any of you coming from out of town? I live in Portland, so if you want any suggestions about places to stay, etc, let me know!
OneSweetWorld Posted September 30, 2011 Yes, I am flying in on Friday morning. Would you recommend renting a car or is public transit sufficient? I've never been to Portland and I have no idea where to stay. I know the recommendatons from the school suggest staying in Hillsboro but I have a friend who works for a hotel chain who can get me a deal at a hotel in Portland. How is traffic on a Saturday commute from Portland to Hillsboro? Any info would be great. Thanks Pedra!
Pedra Posted September 30, 2011 There is a great light rail train that goes from downtown to one block away from the building where the interviews will be. If you can get a deal on a hotel, I would definitely stay in Portland and it will be easy to get from downtown to the school. Also, the train goes from the airport to downtown. If you want to save money and not rent a car, it's super easy to get around without a car. The cost of the train is around $1.35 or so, so definitely more affordable than a car rental! The website for public transportation is www.trimet.org. You can type in when you want to arrive at a specific address and it will tell you what train to take and what time to leave. Plus then you don't have to worry about getting lost while driving. If you have any other questions let me know! -Cheryl
antfarm54 Posted October 7, 2011 I also have an interview on the 22nd and my flight will arrive around 6 from Salt Lake City. I'm not sure if I will rent a car or take the public transport in a city I have never been in. Does anyone have any suggestions?
lalitanaia Posted October 10, 2011 I have not heard from them yet :( but I am so happy for you all! Please let the rest of us know how your experience goes and if you get accepted! :) Good luck!
Pedra Posted October 10, 2011 antfarm54: As I mentioned above, Portland has a great public transportation system. You can get from the airport to downtown via light rail train, and this train also goes right out to the campus where the interviews will be held (the stop is one block from the school). If you want to save money and not rent a car, this is the place to do it! Check out www.trimet.org. Let me know if you have any other questions!
antfarm54 Posted October 12, 2011 What about places to stay? I know if I stay in downtown portland than I can take the light rail. Do you think that is the way to go?
SCHMITTIE120 Posted October 12, 2011 When I interviewed there I stayed in a hostel in downtown Portland and then took the light rail. Super easy and super cheap. I am from Michigan and I didn't have a hard time getting around.
