Scribe, Physician "Follower" Assistant job posting

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to see "become a certified medical assistant in 15-months" commercials late at night. The language they use is teetering on trying to conflate MAs with PAs. They talk about "history taking" and "procedures" and "your patients". Next thing we know they'll be wearing white coats and wanting prescribing rights for their "MA" cert.

Come to my state, the late night commercial is calling MA's "Physician"s" Assitant"s".  They are adding an extra S to the end.

As far as the white coat thing, heck all the nurses around here are wearing them as daily attire, which confuses many patients and staff.

Second the name change.
