Sunshine824
I thought I would get a board started for this years CASPA cycle. Has anyone applied and if so heard anything?
kaurn3
Nope nothing besides a confirmation back in June. :/
Julie Heminger
Like their email states they will Only contact you if invited for an interview, besides that they will not bother to contact you. I haven't heard positive things about the ways they conduct the application process. I wouldn't bother waiting around to hear from them
Julie Heminger
Anyone else receive an email asking them to write an essay about why you chose to apply to the program? I didn't think they had a supplemental essay but I received an email this weekend asking me to complete it by November

Julie Heminger
Did you guys email the information or send it by mail? Any specific reasons you guys chose the school besides location. They said they only accept about 30 people outside the people who are apart of the Bachelor-PA route with their school
rachel3103
I applied to this school in April, I haven't heard anything. I wonder if they only sent that email for the supplemental that you guys are referring to those whom they are looking to interview.
Monte
I went ahead and called; was told those emails were for interview prospects. With that, she said that out of the low number of seats they offer, half are already taken by alums and veterans whom were guaranteed spots. Mshotts
Has anyone heard back on acceptance or wait list? I had an interview on jan 14th at Daemen but I haven't heard anything since.
megwheat
For those of you who have not heard anything back regarding an interview, I went ahead and called last week because I had submitted their "supplemental" application and had not heard anything back; they then informed me that their interview process was complete.. So I guess if we have not heard anything back yet, we will not be getting an interview unfortunately.
CBW
Anyone know when they will send rejection letted since the interview process is complete?
GarinMatthew
Hey for anyone who continues to wonder... To the best of my knowledge Daemen completed their interviews for this application cycle. I had an interview on Jan 5th and they said it would be a few weeks after they completed their interviews that letters would go out (to those that interviewed), still waiting on mine (fingers crossed!). Daemen does not inform you that you will not be selected for an interview, unfortunately you will only hear back if you interviewed.
GarinMatthew
2) For info on this school...It's small and quaint. The class size for incoming graduate classes is approximately 25-28 seats. They receive on average over 1,500 applicants and interview approximately 50 people each year. Amherst is a great location, you're minutes away from the city and located right in the village of Williamsville. The city is currently undergoing a multi billion dollar renovation to enlarge the Buffalo/Niagara Medical Campus downtown. The school itself has a ton to offer but you'll find the vast majority of students are nursing, DPT, or pre or professional PA students (or somewhere in between on some science curriculum track). The curriculum itself is extremely challenging. Daemen differs from surrounding area programs in that the clerkships/rotations are a lot longer. Overall the school is small, which is beneficial when it comes to personal attention from the faculty. They will see that you succeed. Daemen has an average of 98% first time pass rate for the NCCPA exam (last years class, 100% of them passed first time). The vast majority get hired immediately upon graduation. Reference: I attended Daemen for my undergrad and currently work alongside a ton of Daemen Graduates at Buffalo Medical Group.Good luck guys and gals. Keep updating if you hear back!
