versas Posted August 9, 2014 I realized, after e-submitting, that I had not completed the "Duties" section of one of my PA shadowing experiences. Yeah... BIG oops!! Kicking myself in the head for missing that. Crack kills, kids. Do you guys have any thoughts or advice? Much appreciated.
Administrator rev ronin Posted August 9, 2014 Administrator Um, it's shadowing. Duties are to dress nice, be quiet, and watch. I think any Adcom knows this.
versas Posted August 9, 2014 Author Haha! True. Thanks for the reply. I have a couple more shadowing experiences besides this one (that I remembered to write out my duties for, lol). More worried about adcoms seeing it as lack of attention to detail. Which yeah, it is. Looking for damage control at this point >___> Or is it a bigger deal in my head?
Administrator rev ronin Posted August 9, 2014 Administrator Regardless, what's done is done. If you contact programs to update that specific part, they'll think you're neurotic. :-)
versas Posted August 9, 2014 Author What, neurotic isn't a good attribute to have? Haha Thanks rev ronin. Feeling much more peaceful about it.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted August 9, 2014 Moderator agree with Rev, not a big deal. I have served on adcoms and my total attention to shadowing is this: 40 hrs required. done. check. now if you didn't list stuff somewhere that mattered like paid medical HCE that would be a big red flag.
versas Posted August 9, 2014 Author Thanks for the input. Def have 40+ shadowing hours altogether and my paid HCE is covered. So grateful for this forum.
