SAD127
Does anyone have a recommendation or favorite type of OR shoe? I'm looking for something that isn't too pricey and comfortable. Thanks!
Moderator LT_Oneal_PAC Posted December 11, 2013 Moderator Share Posted December 11, 2013 This is REALLY subjective. Some people love danskos, but I loathe them. I wear sanuks, but they may not have the support others are looking for. I use to wear a nice pair of new balance tennis shoes. They are great for me. Administrator rev ronin Posted December 11, 2013 Administrator Share Posted December 11, 2013 I like Dansko's in clinic, but when standing around in surgery, I really prefer New Balance.
fyrelight74
I don't think I ever found any that I really liked during surgery. I had Sanita's (original makers of Danskos), Crocs, Tennis shoes.... nothing seemed to be completely comfortable when you are standing in the same position for hours. Different people swear by different shoes. There were a whole group of residents wearing Mario Batali Crocs (bright orange)... not sure if they are better than standard professional crocs or not. plant biologist
I loved my dansko shoes. I have chronic low back pain and those shoes were the only thing that made surgery bearable.
