Anthony T
I intend on finishing my Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Business Administration within the next year and a half. However, the only clinical experience I have is working with patients as a Physical Therapy Aide at a PT office. The school I am mainly looking to get into is Long Island University's program in Brooklyn. On the school's website, it does list PT Aide as acceptable clinical experience, but what about other schools? Do most schools accept that type of direct patient care? Z PA-C
Yes from what I have seen PT aide is accepted but of course always confirm with individual programs.

JordanPA-C
That was my experience and I was accepted to multiple schools in the Northeast. It is great experience, which helped me a lot so far!
flashingdots
I'm currently working as a PT aide at a private orthopedic clinic. I have yet to apply but it's definitely been great 'hands-on' hce (literally) :)
S Brake
About 400 of my HCE hours were as a PT aide. No problems with any schools.
ceschlorff
My HCE as a physical therapy aid were accepted at all of the schools that I applied to, but I did have to do some research and asking around just to make sure :-)
