CAPA Controlled Substance Education Course *Sign Up By 6/15/13*

Hi all PA-Cs. I want to get this message out there for the Controlled Substance Education Course, run by CAPA. We have 35 registrants so far and need 5 more to sign up by this Saturday, the 15th, for this course to continue as scheduled. Here is all the information:

[TD]This course is being held at the request of USC Class of 2013 and will be conducted a bit differently than other CSECs in that there will be no food and beverage provided by CAPA. The educational content and our excellent instructors, Andrew Lowe, Pharm.D. and Jeremy Adler, MS, PA-C remain the same. Reviews for the course are always exceptional. Please note, if we do not have 40 paid registrants

by June 15, 2013

, we will cancel the course and you will receive a full refund.

 

Upon successful completion of the

Controlled Substances Education Course

, you may begin to write for controlled substances without patient specific approval

if

that task has been delegated to you

and

is reflected in a current Delegation of Services Agreement that has been developed in consultation with your supervising physician(s)

and

which has been signed by you and your SP(s). You do not

have

to take the course if you and your SP wish to continue with you obtaining patient specific approval prior to issuing drug orders for controlled substances.
