cupojava
Good job WA/OR PAs! We have a lot of snow bird pts up here and some pts moving back to WA and have run into this problem in the past. I'm glad the law has changed. From AAPA PAPro: [h=1]Washington Governor Signs Out-of-State PA Prescription Bill[/h]2013-04-24 by Carson Walker, JD, AAPA policy analyst, constituent organization outreach and advocacy On April 17, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee signed Senate Bill 5524 into law. The bill authorizes Washington pharmacies to fill prescriptions written by physician assistants in other states. This is especially significant for PAs in states like Oregon that border Washington. SB 5524 was the result of a collaborative effort between the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants (WAPA) and the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants (OSPA). Moderator EMEDPA Posted April 25, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 25, 2013 I have both OR/WA licenses so this has never been a problem for me but am glad they fixed it for other folks.
wilso2ar
I wish FL would allow this, but I assume PAs can't prescribe schedule II there. Every time I have a snow bird that goes to FL during the winter, I have to find a doc to sign the Rx.
