Administrator rev ronin Posted March 6, 2013 Administrator Share Posted March 6, 2013 Saw this in a PA job posting today: "Experience: Four years of health care experience prior to applying to PA program, plus one year of experience as PA, preferably with clinic and surgical assisting experience." Sounds like a practice that understands what PAs are for, and why most PA programs are not delivering what was originally envisioned.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted March 6, 2013 Moderator Share Posted March 6, 2013 sounds good to me. I have seen jobs for em PAs that say "preference given to those with prior experience as paramedics, military corpsmen, RNs, and RTs." I am also now seeing "prference to those with one or more of the following: completion of an em pa residency, 10 yrs recent em experience, passage of the EM CAQ."
