Administrator rev ronin Posted March 6, 2013 Administrator Saw this in a PA job posting today: "Experience: Four years of health care experience prior to applying to PA program, plus one year of experience as PA, preferably with clinic and surgical assisting experience." Sounds like a practice that understands what PAs are for, and why most PA programs are not delivering what was originally envisioned.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted March 6, 2013 Moderator sounds good to me. I have seen jobs for em PAs that say "preference given to those with prior experience as paramedics, military corpsmen, RNs, and RTs." I am also now seeing "prference to those with one or more of the following: completion of an em pa residency, 10 yrs recent em experience, passage of the EM CAQ."
